Virtual care options

Our commitment to staying on the forefront of technology includes offering ways for you to receive fast, effective medical care from anywhere with internet access.

Virtual care solutions for your health

We offer multiple ways for you to receive care when you can't see your doctor in person.

Telemedicine and Virtual Clinic

Advances in technology allow us provide personalized healthcare to you anywhere at almost any time.

Video visit with a provider via telemedicine

Many of our practices offer virtual meetings via telemedicine (also called telehealth), allowing you to speak with your providers without traveling to their offices. You can set up an appointment by contacting your provider's office directly.

If you do not have a primary care provider, we can help you find a doctor. Then, the provider will help determine if a video visit is proper for your condition.

Online appointment with a My Care Now provider

If you need care immediately, we offer live-broadcast meetings with the first available My Care Now provider. Our office hours are from 7:00am to 7:00pm every day. We can help you find a My Care Now provider. Visits can be made on the same day or the next day.

How does a My Care Now telemedicine visit work?

My Care Now video visits are live online meetings with a healthcare provider for immediate, non-life-threatening issues. All major insurances are accepted for this video visit, and you are only responsible for your copay amount.

If, after your video visit, you and the provider decide you should go to your nearest My Care Now location or need to see one of our primary care specialists, the cost of the online visit is credited toward your in-office visit.

Virtual Clinic sessions

Our Virtual Clinic service is a noninteractive, online consultation for common illnesses. You start your Virtual Clinic session by completing a 15-minute online survey about your symptoms. Then, our providers send you a diagnosis and treatment plan with a prescription if needed. You're charged a fee of $35, payable by major credit cards, whether you have insurance or not. You may need to check with your insurance provider for reimbursement. We're open for consultations from 7:00am to 7:00pm, seven days a week.

This type of virtual care is provided for acute conditions such as:

  • Eye and mouth problems
  • Infection prevention
  • Respiratory infections and allergies
  • Stomach pains
  • Travel-related health issues
  • Urinary tract infections

Walk-in clinic services

In addition to telehealth visits, My Care Now offers walk-in clinics for non-emergency care. We offer early morning, evening and weekend hours that fit most schedules. Our clinics have locations throughout the region in Biltmore Park, McDowell, Haywood, Franklin and Spruce Pine.

Emergency care

If you're in a critical situation that can't wait, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital. We're affiliated with the Mission Health family of hospitals that offer emergency care services, including the area's only Level I Trauma Center and several emergency rooms throughout Western North Carolina. We will get you to the care you need.
